Founder of Colburn Financial, Mike is a graduate of Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN. He began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 2011, earning multiple awards as a top producer. Northwestern Mutual noticed his success early on and wrote a spotlight article noting his early success as a career changer from Teaching to Financial Planning. Taking his success one step further he decided to go independent, starting Colburn Financial in 2015.
Mike and his wife, Jennifer, have identical twin girls, a Toy Rat Terrier named Precious, a Dingo/Chihuahua mix named Pennington, and two cats (Strike and Petra). They enjoy golf, racquetball, exercise, and reading.
